Container for collecting household glass waste has a body that forms a closed cavity with a loading opening located in the upper part, and contains a bottom wall. The upper part of the container body is made narrowed. The bottom wall is made openable and mounted on pin hinges and fixed in the closed position by hooks of the locking mechanism. The container contains an inclined pipe mounted on the loading opening, at least two loading loops mounted on the upper narrowed part of the body and at least three supports located in the lower part of the body. The specified locking mechanism consists of two hook-shaped hooks located in vertical planes, which are rigidly connected to a horizontal axis, which is mounted with the possibility of rotation on brackets placed on the body, and two holders corresponding to these hooks, which are connected to the bottom wall. The specified axis is rigidly connected to a lever, at the opposite end of which a cap-type retainer with a handle is placed with the possibility of rotation in a vertical plane. The locking mechanism is made with the possibility of fixing the bottom wall in the closed position by applying force to the cap-type retainer handle, rotating the specified lever to ensure the coupling of the cap-type retainer with a holder rigidly connected to the body with simultaneous coupling of the above-described hooks with their corresponding holders, as well as with the possibility of unlocking the bottom wall for its opening as a result of rotation on pin hinges under the action of its own weight by applying a reverse force to the cap-type retainer handle, uncoupling the cap-type retainer and the holder and reverse rotation of the lever with simultaneous uncoupling of the above-described hooks and their corresponding holders.
